Huda Takriti (b. 1990) is a transdisciplinary artist currently based in Vienna. Her practice ranges from painting and drawing to video, sound, sculpture, and installation. Her works explore the relationship between history and politics, memories and counter-memories, and the construction of our own subjectivities. Takriti explores gaps in historical memory by merging personal and national narratives and generating questions around them.

Her work has recently been shown at (selected)  mumok - museum moderner kunst stiftung ludwig wien (Austria), Kunsthalle Wien (Austria) , Afro Asiatisches Institut Graz, [.Box] Video Art Project Space (Italy), Stiftung Mercator (Germany), Kunstraum Lakeside (Austria), Centre d’art Sa Quartera (Spain), Addaya Centre for Contemporary Arts (Spain), among others. She received the Vordemberge Gildewart award 2022, Kunsthalle Prize 2020, Ettijahat Production Award, Laboratory of Arts, 7th Edition 2020, Styrian-Artist-in-Residence fellowship 2016, and BMUKK and Kulturkontakt Austria residency fellowship 2014.
