Black Nights Sky
2016-2017, Collage on Paper.

Takriti, in this series, explores the possibilities and ways of deconstructing and rebuilding forms on a two-dimensional surface. Shapes and lines swimming in an absorbing field of black, floating in the empty space which surrounds them, perhaps, at first sight, they may suggest a poetic image. But upon observing, what the eye catches is the complexity of the juxtapositions. One can notice an act of desperation in the way that these shapes cannot come back together or maybe endlessly trying to be reunited, reflecting on a collective experience of diaspora, being lost and trying to find a point of belonging.
